As with every other type of real estate, the COVID pandemic has upended the hotel industry. Now, some 15 months after the pandemic closed everything, the U.S. and Illinois are just now reopening almost fully, and transactions are beginning to occur, later than most of us thought and, as always, in somewhat unpredictable ways. 

With a panel consisting of Chicago-based members that includes a prominent developer, a leading hotel broker, a significant hotel manager and a strong financial analyst, along with a development/transactions consultant, our program will explore the hotel industry and all its pieces – workouts, sales, adaptive re-use possibilities and, broadly, where it sits today.
