Danny Rigoni’s entrepreneurial mindset and passion for the real estate industry are centered around the transformative aesthetic, functional, economic, and social impact that can be created through using real estate development as a tool to solve problems and build communities. Born and raised in Chicago, Danny’s childhood memories of walking construction sites with his mother, helping his father repair and operate apartment buildings, and overhearing his grandfather negotiate brokerage deals helped him identify real estate as a career opportunity at a young age. Entering into the undergraduate real estate and urban planning programs at DePaul University, Danny dove into the opportunity to cultivate his hard skills and network to develop a career plan centered around urban infill development.

After taking on a variety of internships, he began his career on a parallel path of theory and practice, pursuing a Master’s of Science in Real Estate at DePaul University, while working full-time in an assistant development manager role at Three Corners Development. There, he supported the development and asset management teams in the expansion of the firm’s Rogers Park portfolio through the construction of The Devon Collection, a mixed-use development consisting of 22 market rate apartments and 10,000 SF of retail space, and The Concord at Sheridan, a mixed-use, transit oriented development anchored by 110 mixed-income apartments and a neighborhood Target store.

Upon completion of his graduate studies, Danny joined Clark Street Real Estate as a development analyst. There, he supports firm principals in the underwriting, budgeting, leasing, entitlement, and development of ground-up and adaptive reuse retail and medical office projects across the Chicago MSA. At Clark Street, Danny has had the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects including The Emerson mixed-use transit oriented development anchored by 270 market-rate apartments and a neighborhood Target store at Harlem and Lake in Oak Park, the adaptive reuse of a former industrial property in Evanston for an indoor rock climbing gym operator, and three ground-up medical office buildings in Chicago’s Irving Park, Brighton Park, and Garfield Park neighborhoods.

Danny is grateful for the investment his family, mentors, and real estate professionals have made in him that have allowed him to grow in his career thus far. He considers himself to be a natural connector and believes that involvement and forging lasting relationships within the real estate industry are steadfast elements of career growth. Danny has served as a mentor to undergraduate students in DePaul University’s real estate program and is the co-chair of REIA’s Emerging Leaders program for young professionals.
